In rare cases, the blade may become deformed, cracked or otherwise damaged. In almost all cases, it will be fine, but it is important to be aware that there is a possibility and that we cannot replace your hard work. It is not possible to know in advance whether this will happen. Reasons that can cause defects include, too thin cross-sections, uneven shaping, stress in the steel or the like.
