Brown stabilized Oak X-cut is a robust and characterful handle blank that combines the classic strength of oak with a unique cross-cut pattern. X-cut (cross-section of the wood) provides a more distinct and varied structure than traditional longitudinal-cut wood, creating an exciting and vivid expression in the finished handle.
The brown hue accentuates the growth rings and structure in a natural way, providing a warm and rustic feel. The result is a handle that fits well with both traditional knives and more modern designs with a natural expression.
The wood is stabilized by being fully impregnated with hardening resin. This results in a very strong and dimensionally stable material that is resistant to moisture, temperature changes, and wear. At the same time, the surface becomes dense and smooth, meaning the handle does not require oil or other finishing treatments.
With dimensions of approximately 25x40x125 mm, the blank is well-suited for knife handles and provides a solid starting point for both classic and more creative designs. The material is easy to work with and can be shaped, sanded, and polished to a smooth and durable finish.
