Description:
Flamed poplar is a visually exciting wood species known for its wavy and vivid grain pattern. The characteristic structures in the wood can in some cases produce what is known as chatoyance – a cat's-eye effect where light plays across the fibers, creating an almost three-dimensional depth in the surface.
This handle block is stabilized with resin through a vacuum process, where the wood is completely impregnated and hardened. The result is a material that is waterproof, highly durable, and dimensionally stable, while requiring no oil or other finishing.
The brown hue provides a warm and natural look that highlights the wavy lines of the wood. The interplay of colors ranges from lighter golden shades to deeper brown tones, giving a classic yet vivid and exclusive feel to the finished knife handle.
