Supplied with silca-gel friction base so that the brow can lie firmly on the table.
Risam's Japanese whetstones give you razor-sharp joy in the kitchen! These double burrs are used with water to sharpen your knives to their best potential and we offer these grit variants 240/800, 400/1000, 400/1500, 1000/3000 and 2000/5000.
400 is used for rough work, 800 and 1500 are good for getting a knife sharp again after a lot of use, and 2000-3000 is for polishing up the edge so that it is extra even and smooth and super sharp, but most will do just fine with 800 or 1500 for daily use.
Read the instructions on the whetstone before use or study this video which goes through the principles of knife sharpening on a whetstone in detail.
