Olive green micarta is a modern and highly durable handle material, known for its excellent performance characteristics and characteristic layered structure. The material consists of textile fibers pressed together with epoxy/resin under high pressure, resulting in a homogeneous and robust blank.
The olive green hue provides a natural, tactical, and understated look that suits both outdoor knives and more modern designs. At the same time, the layered construction creates a subtle pattern that becomes more visible after sanding and shaping.
Micarta is particularly known for its excellent grip, even in wet conditions. The fiber structure of the material provides a slightly textured surface that makes the handle secure and comfortable to use, even under demanding conditions.
The material is highly resistant to wear and withstands moisture, temperature changes, and heavy use without cracking or deforming. It also has low thermal conductivity, which provides a comfortable feel in the hand even in cold weather.

Micarta is easy to work with using standard tools and can be sanded to both a matte and high-gloss finish. Many prefer a slightly matte surface for the best possible grip, while polishing gives a more exclusive look.
