Stainless hardening foil for hardening stainless and high-alloy steel. Sold on a roll of 10 metres, 61 cm wide.

Such a foil is needed because high-alloy steels often have to be kept at a high temperature for a long time. Without preventing the supply of oxygen, the carbon will burn out of the steel (decarburization) and the surface will be destroyed. In the worst case, so much carbon is burned off that the steel becomes unusable.

Packed into an envelope as in the picture with double or triple folds to ensure good seals at the edges.
